NIKUJAGA is a Japanese travel and culture blog. We try to give you the real story on what goes on in Japan; not just the sugar-coated fairy tales. No fluff here, just the meat and potatoes.
The word “nikujaga” comes from the Japanese dish of the same name, that combines two ingredients that compliment each other perfectly. Like the dish, NIKUJAGA is two parts: Phil and Haruka.
Phil (NIKU), is an American singer-songwriter, musician, photographer, and writer. Basically he’s creative. He came to Japan in 2011 to teach, and has stayed ever since.
Haruka (JAGA), is a native-born Japanese girl who sings and plays the flute and piano. She is a freelance translator, YouTube personality, and blogger.
